Origin

The Hemovault’s founders arrived in Legarune as refugees from a world that had been consumed by its own biology. Their homeworld’s ecosystem had turned predatory — the flora, the fauna, the very atmosphere had become hostile to unaugmented humans. The survivors adapted. They developed techniques for extracting biological material from hostile organisms, for processing blood into nutritional and medicinal compounds, for sustaining themselves on what their world tried to kill them with.
